  • You can bring your own design as a reference. However, we will work together to create a design you are happy with. You are always welcome to give me full creative freedom. Once we have a consultation scheduled, we can discuss the style of tattoo you’re interested in and the color palette you’d want to work with. Keep in mind that some designs take more preparation time than others!

    • Hydration: Begin hydrating the day before and continue the morning of your tattoo appointment.

    • Rest: Ensure you get a good night's sleep to minimize pain.

    • Skin Preparation: Wash the area to be tattooed with anti-bacterial soap the night before and the morning of the appointment. Do not moisturize the area.

    • Nutrition: Eat a well-balanced meal before the appointment to maintain energy levels and prevent blood sugar drops.

    • Snacks and Drinks: Bring healthy snacks and drinks, such as those with electrolytes, to the appointment.

    • Clothing: Wear comfortable, loose clothing, avoiding tight garments around the tattoo area (e.g., loose shorts for thigh tattoos).

  • The main aftercare and healing process for a tattoo generally lasts about two weeks, though this can vary. Fine line tattoos heal faster, while highly saturated ones take longer. Wash the tattoo 1-3 times daily with fragrance-free, antibacterial soap like Dial Gold, Dove, or Dr. Bronner's. Use lukewarm water, pat dry gently, and avoid rubbing the new tattoo. Moisturize with a thin layer of a recommended lotion like A&D, Cetaphil, or Lubriderm, avoiding petroleum-based products. Protect the tattoo from sun exposure for the first two to four weeks, covering it with clothing rather than using sunscreen during the healing process. After healing, apply sunblock to preserve the tattoo. Avoid physical activity for the first 48 hours and exercise cautiously for four to six weeks, as new tattoos are vulnerable to infection and damage. Refrain from picking scabs and scratching the tattoo. Do not swim in pools, beaches, hot tubs, or lakes during the healing period to prevent infection.

  • Several factors can cause a tattoo to fade, including sun exposure, friction, poor aftercare, tattoo placement, and aging. Excessive sun without SPF protection, especially within the first six months, can fade tattoos. Tight clothing that causes friction on a new tattoo also contributes to fading. Certain body parts, such as hands and feet, are more prone to quicker fading regardless of care. Aging naturally affects tattoos, and after 10-20 years, they may not look the same as when first done, much like the natural aging of our skin.
